What we have here are two rather similar cars. Ignoring the fact that one happens to be specced as a coupe, they are both similarly priced, six cylinder twin turbo compact luxury cars producing over 400hp. And both could kind of be considered sleepers. One looks like a basic 4-Series, the other looks like a Kia. I for one, would probably choose the Maserati, then drive both, then choose the BMW instead. Although the Giblili is the hot, AWD SQ4, so maybe not.

This Cayenne.

Ghibli. Wouldn’t look at the BMW twice.
Also, is the BMW parked in between the lines?

Neither.
One of these please.
But for real, probably the M4. I couldn’t bear to drive a Ghibli and notice Chrysler 300 switchgear.

sm70, I take umbrage at your claims of inability to distinguish between the Ghibli and Optima. It’s like faulting the F-Type for looking like a Miata.
There are many things not perfect with this car, styling isn't one of them.

I’m a 2 > 4 doors kinda guy, but I‘d break the rule for this.

I’d take uConnect and some cheap windows switches over fake engine noise.

An interesting choice. It’s a GTS for whatever that’s worth.

I *think* so.

There was a new 6er on the other side of the Cayenne. Not a GC, or an ///M, but still.

I think the Ghibli looks good in photos, and better in person. However...

I dislike all of the 4 series range
The Maserati was a massive disappointment
the Cayenne is extremely capable

Why dislike the four series range?

I feel they are too massive, poser cars that represent that BMW is going towards other directions.

It’s literally just a rebadged three series coupe...the M4 may be the most pursuit car BMW makes.

I spent more time thinking about this post than I probably should have but I’ve decided on the Giblet. The front and profile view on the Maserati are actually really sexy in person much more so than the M4 (which is still an amazing car).
Also while the rear might be uninspired it more than makes up for it with that amazing exhaust note.

I know I know, I think very weirdly.
And about that claim:

True. I remember standing on a corner at one point by the exit of an underground parking garage, and this thing came slinking out, burbling like an angry fountain. It’s a much cooler car in person.

F30 BMW 335i xDrive M Sport all the way.

Ghibli. 100%. Every dentist, newly-promoted middle manager and mid-level trophy wife will be driving the a 4-series poser-mobile.

The Ghibli only if I never had to drive it, because they’re apparently built exactly how you’d expect an Italian car owned by Fiat and using Chrysler parts to be built.
